In 1996, the song was recorded off of the KBOO radio station in Portland, Oregon via cassette. On December 1st, 2018, the user “Most Mysterious 90s” uploaded the song to YouTube, nicknaming the song “Yeah” or “The Most Mysterious Death Metal Song”. Afterwards, they posted it onto the r/Lostwave subreddit, asking what band it is.

A popular lead is that the song is by the non-underground grindcore band “Napalm Death”, but this lead has not been confirmed yet.
