Philippe Lomprez, born in Denain, France, in 1964, is a key figure in the French cold wave music scene. Alongside his brother Hervé, he co-founded the influential band Trisomie 21 in [[1980]]. Their music blended elements of cold wave, minimal wave, and darkwave, creating a distinctive sound that resonated with listeners across Europe.

Trisomie 21's early releases, such as "The Last Song" and "La Fête triste," captured the melancholic essence of the post-punk era.
