On October 23rd, 2019, the song was first posted by WatZatSong user andyhermann, who claimed to have downloaded it in 2008 with the original filename being Downfall.mp3.<ref>https://www.watzatsong.com/en/found/Fair+Verona-The+Downfall+of+a+Well+Known+Actress-626980.html</ref> 

The song first gained attention in December 2022, when WatZatSong user RojoCatto/Mike Worst contacted the OP and received the full song, which he then uploaded to his channel on December 17th, 2022.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmbwLQ1mfNw</ref>
