Escape(formerly known as Trip Without Reality) is a formerly unidentified rock song by “The Generation Alarm” uploaded to WatZatSong by user zekitzekitze in 2022.
Background
On May 16, 2022, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user zekitzekitze, who provided no information about where they got the song.[1]
The song first gained attention in the Lostwave community on January 15, 2023, when it was reuploaded by YouTube user q.[2]
Discovery
On September 9th, 2025, the song was identified by Discord users Mystic65 and Nel80s along with the help of user Sonolux, as "Escape" by The Generation Alarm after Sonolux provided the channel's fingerprints to Nel and Mystic and they ran it through WerZatSong.
However, it was discovered to be a hoax due to the spectrogram of the original snippet being identical to the YouTube upload of the full album, and because another user brought up the same video in 2021 (around when this song was posted) as a lead for a different Lostwave song, Making Dedication (formerly known as “Personal”).
