"Mary O’Hara’s Theme" (previously known as Heaven and Dancing or Sing Higher) is a solved lostwave by Norwegian singer Benedicte Adrian that originated from a music video that aired on the Turkish TV channel TRT3's Pop Saati program.

Background[edit | edit source]

On October 24th, 2006, the song was first uploaded to YouTube by user farmeraway, who provided no information about its source.[1] On August 31st, 2008, the same user on his brothers account,[2] now known as ocarinasky, uploaded a full version of the music video, stating in the description that it aired on TRT, a Turkish television channel on the program Pop Saati,[3] which broadcasted mostly European songs,[4]

On April 26th, 2024, the song was posted to r/lostwave, prompting the OP to discover the search. In the thread, he detailed how the recordings before and after the song on the original tape were "The Time is Now" by Moloko and "Day & Night" by Billie Piper, both songs from 2000.[5]

On June 13th, 2024, the OP uploaded a higher quality version of the music video, noting in the description that he believes that the song was recorded between 1998 and 2000.[6]

It has been confirmed that Northern Irish fiddle player Dominic McNabb was featured in the video, as his obituary mentions that "to his great amusement, he appeared in a pop video, wrapped in rope while playing the fiddle at the Giant's Causeway," which also confirms the video's filming location as The Giant's Causeway in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.[7][8]

Discovery[edit | edit source]

On July 4th, 2024, the song was found in a YouTube video from 2010 titled "Mary O'Hara" that contained a high-quality version of the music video and the description showed the name of the song, which was released by O'Hara and sung by Benedicte Adrian.[9][10]
