Into Paradise (previously known as "Tension Rising In The Air” or just "Tension,") is a solved rock/new wave song that was originally posted to WatZatSong by LORRAIN on November 1st, 2006. On July 23rd, 2024, It was identified as "Into Paradise" by Martin Nethercutt.

Background

On November 1st, 2006, the user LORRAIN posted a 15-second sample on WatZatSong. It went unnoticed for around sixteen years, and only became slightly popular around 2021, until it went widespread by q's video of the snippet on April 9th, 2023.[1]

The OP is known to be from France based on his previous WatZatSong submissions, and his username can be traced back to a Dailymotion[2] and YouTube[3] account named argentanboy that posted WW2 videos about the history of Argentan, France, predating the upload of the song.[4]

After searching the extended snippet's lyrics on the German music database GEMA,[7] the original source of the snippet was discovered in a 1991 TV movie called Ausgetrickst, with the music credited to German film composer Michael Hofmann de Boer.[8][9][10] Michael was discovered to have been a member of a band called The Subjects, and the band's song "Paradise" was originally thought to be the song.[11]
