On June 11th, 2020, the song was first uploaded to the music identification website Spirit of Radio by user Jay as a 23 second snippet.[1] Jay claimed he recorded it in the Baltimore area between 1985 and 1991, and it was played either on the radio station WCVT (Towson University) or WHFS.[1] The song was reuploaded twice by the OP, once on January 28th, 2021[2] and again on September 22nd 2021.[3]
The song first gained attention in the Lostwave community on July 11th, 2021, when it was reuploaded by YouTube user FatBird.[4]
