On July 7, 2024, pilo posted the full version of the song from his cassette recording, adding that the next track on the mixtape was "Lift Me Up" by Red 5, and the tape was likely released between 1997 and 1998.[1][2]

On August 5, 2024, a house song with similar beatbox vocals called Casa George ('97 Remix) by Bootleg Boys was discovered, leading searchers to believe that the vocals came from a sample library.[3] This was confirmed on September 10, 2024, when it was discovered that the 1993 song Scatterbox by Lifeforce used the same sample.[4]
