Background
On April 25, 2020, the song was first uploaded to r/tipofmytongue by Reddit user Fiction1183, who claimed to have been sent the song by a friend who downloaded it from a song identification thread on an unidentified music-sharing website between 2010 and 2012.[1]
The song first gained attention in the lostwave community on September 23, 2021, when it was first reuploaded by YouTube user Acu-Rite.[2]
On November 7, 2022, YouTube user WhosThisEmGuy identified the song's sample as Charade (1963) by Henry Mancini.[3]
