The song first gained attention in the Lostwave community in early 2023 after it was reuploaded by YouTube user Bloost Media.[3]
On July 19th, 2024, Reddit user Dilligent-Patient-915 discovered that the song's chorus is an interpolation of the 1988 ragga song Raggamuffin Hip-Hop by duo Asher D and Daddy Freddy after playing it in the song identification app Shazam.[4][5]
