On October 26th, 2020, the song was first posted to r/lostwave[1] and r/Kyrgyzstan[2] by Reddit user SuperJoe89, who claimed to have recorded the song from the Xinjiang Kyrgyz Radio in China.[1]

The song first gained attention in the lostwave community on September 23rd, 2021, when it was reuploaded by YouTube user Acu-Rite.[3]

On April 13th, 2024, YouTube user Dr. Lemon uploaded the complete recording of the October 24th, 2020 Xinjiang Kyrgyz Radio broadcast that featured the song, and it was discovered that the song was identified as "Таксистчи кыз" (Taxi Driver Girl) by Асылбек Сарылyу уулу during the broadcast.[4]

On June 18th, 2024, the song was recorded again by the OP, this time on the Xinjiang Kazakh Radio, and the song was once again credited as "Таксистчи кыз" (Taxi Driver Girl) by Асылбек Сарылy уулу.[5]
