'''(Intro)'''
Up by nine, hit the grind, play the game, it's all the same
Up by nine, hit the grind, play the game, it's all the same
'''(Verse 1)'''
Chains of the morning are pulling me
Chiseling away reality
Working, working cramps my style
Hammering away at the old rock pile
Work those fingers to the bone
Soak those fingers when you get home
Makes me crawl, makes me itch
Pinching pennies on a sinking ship
'''(Chorus)'''
Everyday is work, work
Drives a man totally berserk
I've been living on a sinking ship
Slaving the galley with a cracking whip
Everyday is work, work
Drives a man totally berserk
I've been living on a sinking ship
Slaving the galley with a cracking whip
Work, work (everyday), work, work
Work, work (everyday), work, work
'''(Verse 2)'''
Land of milk and honey where the streets were paved in gold
And so many died, those who survive, they had to work
Land of opportunity, the land of promises
While people cry through hard times, they had to work
Work to make it better, work to survive
Working for the future, work to stay alive
'''(Chorus)'''
Everyday is work, work
Drives a man totally berserk
I've been living on a sinking ship
Slaving the galley with a cracking whip
Everyday is work, work
Drives a man totally berserk
I've been living on a sinking ship
Slaving the galley with a cracking whip
Work, work (everyday), work, work
Work, work (everyday), work, work
Up by nine, hit the grind, play the game, it's all the same
Up by nine, hit the grind, play your game, it's all the same
Everyday is work, work
Drives a man totally berserk
I've been living on a sinking ship
