You Were Never Meant To Go is an unsolved lostwave.

It was originally uploaded to YouTube in September 2012. OP claims that they “found it on a cd that was laying on the pavement one day back in 2005 all it said on the cd-r was ‘cinimatic music’”.

Background

On September 22, 2012, @spikethegoth89 (reuben jankowiak) uploaded a YouTube video of the song. The description read:

”i have no idea who this songs by i found it on a cd that was laying on the pavement one day back in 2005 all it said on the cd-r was "cinimatic music" so i can assume its from a movie i have googled the lyrics countless times but to no avail, the title is only an assumed one i have no idea when the cd was created or by whom... any information would be greatly appreciated.”

Another comment by the OP says that 9 out of 11 tracks on the CD are composed by a band called “The Cinematic Orchestra”, and that this track is the only one unidentified.

It was uploaded by q on August 14, 2022. A comment on her upload says that the singer sounds a lot like Reuben Jankowiak, the OP of the lostwave himself (who makes music on his YouTube channel), and that this may possibly be a hoax.
