Bombs In The Tundra is an unsolved alternative-rock song uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm in 2013 and tagged as Pleasure Hounds - Opus.

Background[edit | edit source]

On July 27th, 2013, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm,[1] before being reuploaded on May 13th, 2014 to add that the song was internally tagged as Pleasure Hounds - Opus.[2] Based on the OP's other found songs, this song was most likely recorded between 1980 and 1984, and recorded from the WFMU New Jersey radio station.[3]

The band Pleasure Hounds has been confirmed to exist, having recorded a similar-sounding demo in 1982,[4][5][6] and their song Opus has been confirmed to have played on July 18th, 1982 on the radio station WFMU in New Jersey, where the OP remembers recording it.[7] However, this has been debunked after WatZatSong user Kurty contacted Yale University, who had a copy of the Pleasure Hounds' original demo tape and confirmed that Opus is a 1:40 instrumental track.[8][2]
