Drive Me (formerly known as "Stop Making Me Cry") is a solved lostwave by the Mexican eurodance group K-Girls, and was first posted by WatZatSong user pilo.

Background

On December 18th, 2023, WatZatSong user pilo uploaded a snippet of the song to the site and claimed that it was from the 2000s.[1]

On April 26th, 2024, pilo uploaded a 1 minute and 6 second snippet to Vocaroo in response to a comment on the post by user BASTARD, who claimed that he was gatekeeping the full song.[2] pilo also stated that the song was recorded from FM radio on a cassette between 2000 and 2001.[3][4]

Discovery

On May 25th, 2024, pilo uploaded a new snippet of the song, claiming that the tape was broken and after fixing it, revealed an extra 44 seconds.[5][6] On the same day, WatZatSong user McKiddie identified the song as "Drive Me" by the K-Girls after searching the website remixsearch.es[7][8] for the record label that published pilo's first solved song,[9] but was only able to find the shortened radio version, which was missing a section from pilo's most recent snippet.[10]

On May 29th, 2024, Archive.org user Cerezoso25 discovered the full 5 minute version after purchasing and ripping the CD containing all versions of the song.[11]

The identity of the K-Girls remains unknown, and there is no information about them on the internet.[12][13]
