Here is the rules of possible administrator elections.

General

The administrator election lasts six days from the opening. As opening considers the next day (from the hour 0:00 of server time) of the initiative. The results are finalizing after the closure of the election, within 24 hours. In the necessary cases, the election time can be extended with another six days or a new election (reelection) be held.

Nomination

Any active user can be nominated for an administrator, except the currently blocked users. If it's not a self-nomination, the nominee should be agree for being a candidate.

A current administrator can be nominated for confirmation or re-confirmation, or removal.

Voting

The voting procedure consists the valid votes of the registered voters, the registration starts along with, or before the voting. Only users with confirmed registration has a valid vote. The users with unconfirmed registration also can vote, but it only would be counted in time of the confirmation. A user with denied registration cannot vote and subsequent vote will not be counted. The vote cannot be changed anymore.

The candidate of the election cannot vote.

Registration

Any eligible user should be registered before the voting. The criteria of the eligibility of user who can vote on the election are:

  1. Being a user with at least 50 sensical and mostly constructive edits overall.
  2. If the user has multiple accounts, only one account can be registered.

During the time of the confirmation, users registration remains unconfirmed. If the user meets the criteria, the Check User confirms the registration. In case of any violation of these criteria, the Check User should deny the registration.

Users, whose already had registration for the voting and it was confirmed, also the current Check Users, Administrators and Bureaucrats would automatically have a confirmed registration.

Election

The election is the confirmation (or re-confirmation) of adminship(s), removal of the adminship(s) and the appointment of a new administrator (by-election). Registered voters need to vote "support", "oppose" or "neutral" with providing an objective reason for it. Otherwise the vote would be counted as an invalid. All users can ask a question to the candidate or comment the process.

Results

After the summarization of the election, the bureaucrats would finalize and conclude it. The candidate would considered as remained, elected (reelected) or removed if more than half of valid votes are in support with turnout of the 1/5 of the confirmed registered voters. Voting will continue if both support and neutral votes are more than oppose votes or equal. If less than the 1/5 of confirmed registered voters were voted, a reelection will be held after a week.

Granting

The cases of the granting adminship are these:

  • If the appointment or confirmation succeed, the candidate grants a one year administrator right.
  • If the re-confirmation succeed, the candidate grants a permanent administrator right.
