Freaky is an unidentified garage rock/new-wave song first posted to WatZatSong by user Guglielm in 2013.

Background

On July 18th, 2013, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm,[1] before being reuploaded on August 1st, 2014 to add that the song was internally tagged as Sator - Freaky, and he believed the song to be an unreleased demo by a Swedish punk-rock band called Sator Codex.[2][3]

The thread was inactive until December 16th, 2021, when user musicfan1994 contacted the band and they confirmed that they did not make the song.[3]

The song is most likely by the band The Satyr Sound Machine, as they sound similar to the tagged title, the singer has a similar voice, and the band has an almost identical music style.[4]

If the song is not by The Satyr Sound Machine, this song was most likely recorded between 1980 and 1984, and recorded from the WFMU New Jersey radio station, based on the OP's other found songs and the fact that the song uses the Linn LM-2 drum machine that was released in 1982.[5]
