Freaky is an unidentified psychedelic rock song first posted to WatZatSong by user Guglielm in 2013.
Background
On July 18th, 2013, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm,[1] before being reuploaded on August 1st, 2014 to add that the song was internally tagged as Sator - Freaky, and he believed the song to be an unreleased demo by a Swedish punk-rock band called Sator Codex.[2][3]
The thread was inactive until December 16th, 2021, when user musicfan1994 contacted the band and they confirmed that they did not make the song.[3]
The song is most likely by the band The Satyr Sound Machine, as they sound similar to the tagged title, the singer has a similar voice, and the band has an almost identical music style.[4]
The song is not on either of The Satyr Sound Machine's two known albums, but according to a Reddit post from November 22nd, 2019, Satyr was known in his local community for handing out demo tapes, which may have included this song.[5]
If the song is not by The Satyr Sound Machine, this song was most likely recorded between 1980 and 1984, and recorded from the WFMU New Jersey radio station, based on the OP's other found songs and the fact that the song uses the Linn LM-2 drum machine that was released in 1982.[6]
Lyrics
Presumed Lyrics |
(Chorus)
I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby I’ve waited long, but time’s come through now, baby I’ve waited long, we’ve got the place Waited long just to touch your face (Verse) I wanna see the lust you have for me I see with eyes, I see with hands With nasal passages over there Now it shall be that you will see me (Chorus) I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby (Guitar Solo) We’ve got the time, we’ve got the place Waited long just to touch your face (Verse) Now you will see the lust you have for me I see with eyes, I see with hands With nasal passages over there Now it shall be that you will see me (Chorus) I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby I wanna do something freaky with you now, baby |
