- Napalm Death: Popular British non-underground grindcore band, unlikely as the song does not appear on any of their early demos.[3][4]
Debunked
- Murdergod: Short-lived death metal band from Oregon that released three demo albums between 1995 and 1996. [5] Investigation into Murdergod began due to the band's roots in Portland and similarities their music shared with the track. This lead was debunked by Youtube user PlayerMan-hh5gb (screen name: a dude who likes stuff) in a pinned comment on the original upload posted by Most Mysterious 90s claiming they had reached out to someone involved with the band and confirmed it wasn't them.
