Howard The Duck Reggae Song is an unattributed reggae song. It plays in the 1986 film Howard the Duck during a scene where everyone is in the club's dressing room chatting. The song doesn't appear in the movie's released soundtrack.

Background

Prior to the song's search, YouTube user Phaota recorded the song from the movie. Due to the sample playing in a scene with chatter, Phaota tried to isolate the sample. Despite the efforts, the song is in low quality due to the attempt to remove the chatter. Along with this, the song is possibly incomplete.

The song's search started on August 16th, 2022 when Phaota uploaded the song onto YouTube, along with the backstory of the sample and its origins. The description of the video says:

"Originally recorded, cleaned and enhanced back in 2017 from the classic 1986 "Howard the Duck" film. It was heard in the background during the scene where everyone is in the club's dressing room chatting. Do you know who the artist is that's singing the song? Let me know in the comments. Thanks."

On October 10th, 2024, poster Ziro reuploaded the song onto her channel.

On November 13th, 2024, user Sawzvex Contributed some interpreted lyrics to try and help with the search.

On November 21st, 2024, user basketry contacted Christopher Brooks, a man who worked on the movie. He said the song is a live performance, but he doesn't remember who played it. The man who worked on the soundtrack, John Berry, releasred an ultra-rare unofficial CD containing the soundtrack of the film. basketry said he'd buy it but it's 50$ and doesn't know if the song is in HQ.
