Love In Bangkok (formerly known as "Pretty One") is an identified synth-pop song by the Belgian synth-pop group Pride & Passion. The song was sourced from a broadcast of the radio show Liaisons Dangereuses in Antwerp, Belgium, recorded on May 21, 1987.
Background
On July 28, 2014, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user belriose, who claimed that the song came from a 1987 radio broadcast.[1] The OP returned to upload the full snippet on February 25, 2021,[1] and revealed his source for the song to be a May 21, 1987 recording of Liaisons Dangereuses, an Antwerp, Belgium-based radio program airing on the station Radio SIS.[2]
The song first gained attention in the Lostwave community on June 21, 2021, when it was reuploaded by YouTube user Acu-Rite.[3]
Discovery
On April 8, 2025, the full song was uploaded by YouTube user theodinhour and was discovered the same day by user nonoseacrest, identifying the song as Love In Bangkok by Pride & Passion.[4]
