Philippe Lomprez
- Philippe Lomprez
Philippe Lomprez, born in Denain, France, in 1964, is a key figure in the French cold wave music scene. Alongside his brother Hervé, he co-founded the influential band Trisomie 21 in 1980. Their music blended elements of cold wave, minimal wave, and darkwave, creating a distinctive sound that resonated with listeners across Europe.
Trisomie 21's early releases, such as "The Last Song" and "La Fête triste," captured the melancholic essence of the post-punk era. Philippe's haunting vocals and synth-driven compositions set the band apart. Despite a couple of hiatuses, Trisomie 21 continued to evolve, experimenting with electronic textures and introspective lyrics.
The lead was suggested on (Reddit)[1], but it was dismissed due to the vocals not being exactly similar to the ones in The Mysterious Song.
