Waiting For The Countdown (also known as "Waiting For A Come Down") is an unidentified new-wave song uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm.
Background
On July 16th, 2013, Guglielm initially uploaded the song to WatZatSong,[1] but it did not receive much attention, so he reuploaded it on August 6th, 2014, stating in his post that the song was internally tagged as Waiting for a Come Down.[2] Based on the OP's other found songs, this song was most likely recorded between 1980 and 1983, or 1991 and 1992, and recorded from the WFMU New Jersey radio station.[3]
On June 10th, 2023, YouTube user NY80sTapes posted another recording of the song from a compilation of radio snippets, revealing that it was recorded from the same broadcast on WFMU.[4]
