Ocean (previously known as "Take Me Down To The Sea") is a nearly solved synth-pop song posted to WatZatSong by user Guglielm in 2014.

Background

On June 27th, 2014, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm, who stated in his post that the song was internally tagged as being created by "David Baron, Barron, Barren, Byron"

Discovery

On June 6th, 2024, DavidBaronMusic commented on a reupload of another lost song, Joe Will Never Be The Same, by user q, confirming that he created the song while he was a music student to be played on WFMU, and it was played as a favor by his friend and DJ Bill Berger.[1] He also confirmed that the song is called "Ocean"[2] and that the song was recorded in 1986.[3][4]

He is currently waiting for his Tascam 244 tape deck to be repaired before posting the full song, as it is the only way his master cassette will be playable so it can be ripped and uploaded online.[5]
