Imagination Lives is a instrumental-mashup of music that was most likely created for the Sci-Fi Channel's 2003 advertising campaign of the same name.

Background

On January 26th, 2008, the song was first uploaded to YouTube under the title Mystery Song... Can You Identify It? by user KatePevensie, who recorded it in 2003 on the Sci-Fi Channel from an advertisement showcasing films scheduled to premiere in 2004.[1]

On December 2nd, 2008. the commercial featuring the song was first posted to YouTube in low quality by user Forevermore33.[2]

On December 12th, 2020, a high quality version of the commercial and song were included in a December 2003 Sci-Fi Channel commercial compilation uploaded by YouTube user Suprb6970.[3]

The song is made up of different samples. On September 18th, 2021, YouTube user asolollol1866 discovered on September 18th, 2021.[4] that one of the song's samples was utilized in Wes Madiko's 1996 song Wezale.[1] This sample was also featured in the songs Kingdom by Mars Lasar (2003)[5] and Spirit Zen by Phobos (2005).[6] Two other samples used in the mashup remains unidentified so far.[6]
