Everyday Is Work-Work‎ is an unsolved new wave song uploaded to WatZatSong by user nathank in 2013. It was reuploaded by user Guglielm in 2016 and was tagged as Progressive Aid - Everyday Is Work-Work.

Background[edit | edit source]

On August 23rd, 2012, the song was first posted to the New Wave Outpost forums by user Guglielm as part of a collection of lost songs, but it did not gain much traction.[1]

On August 3rd, 2013, the song was reuploaded to WatZatSong by user nathank,[2] followed by an upload by user Guglielm on November 7th, 2016. Guglielm internally tagged the song as Progressive Aid - Everyday Is Work-Work and stated that he recorded it off the WFMU New Jersey radio station.[3]

Based on the OP's other found songs, this song was most likely recorded between 1980 and 1984, supported by the fact that the song likely uses the Linn LM-2 drum machine and a Roland Juno-60 synthesizer, both released in 1982.[4]

On July 30th, 2024, nathank responded to the original WatZatSong thread, saying that he can't remember where he found the song.[2]

Possible[edit | edit source]

Debunked[edit | edit source]

  • PJ And The Terrorists - Work Work: Not the same song.[5]
  • Regressive Aid: Band with a similar name to the tagged band, whose music has been played on WFMU.[6] Their entire discography can be found here, but it is most likely a mistag because the band only performed instrumental music and did not have a vocalist.[7]
