Zipitypapa (also known as "Dibidibaba") is an unidentified hard-house song which was first posted to WatZatSong in 2023 by user pilo.
Background
On December 17, 2023, the song was first posted to WatZatSong by user pilo claiming that it came from a mixtape cassette from the 1990s that did not include the names of the songs or artists.[1]
On July 7, 2024, pilo posted the full version of the song from his cassette recording, adding that the next track on the mixtape was "Lift Me Up" by Red 5, and the tape was likely released between 1997 and 1998.[1][2]
On August 5, 2024, a house song with similar beatbox vocals called Casa George ('97 Remix) by Bootleg Boys was discovered, leading searchers to believe that the vocals came from a sample library.[3] This was confirmed on September 10, 2024, when it was discovered that the 1993 song Scatterbox by Lifeforce used the same sample.[4]
On November 23, 2024, a full and high quality version of the song was found on a eurodance mixtape called Winners 1997 ¾ Salon El Rayo.[5]
