On July 23, 2013, the song was first uploaded to Soundcloud by an individual named Krister Petersson, who claims to have found the song on a tape purchased at a thrift store in Jämjö, Sweden. He believes the band is from Jämjö or another area in the Karlskrona Municipality, and the tape's cover says "synth is bäst" (synth is the best).[1]
On February 25, 2014, the song was first reuploaded by YouTube user poorkaraoke,[2] and it first gained attention in the Lostwave community on September 30, 2022 when it was reuploaded by YouTube user Lost Music: Cold Case.[3]
