Cause Vertical (formerly known as "Your Flame") is an identified goth rock song by the New York based rock band The Sirens, which was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm in 2013.

On July 18, 2013, the song was first uploaded to WatZatSong by user Guglielm,[1] before being reuploaded on August 1, 2014 to add that the song was internally tagged as Cause Vertical - Siren.[2] Based on the OP's other found songs, this song was most likely recorded between 1991 and 1993, and recorded from the WFMU New Jersey radio station.[3]
On September 19, 2022, the song was first uploaded to YouTube by user q, popularizing interest in the search.[4]
Discovery[edit | edit source]
On February 28, 2025, Discord user marktrail discovered a band called The Sirens whose vocals and musical style were similar to the lost song.[5] Jonathan Kane, the band's drummer, was contacted by WatZatSong user occupiedmind on March 1, 2025 and confirmed that the band created the song and that Guglielm's tagged title was correct.[1]
