On July 10, 2019, the song was first posted by a YouTube channel called Manis Studio,[1] a bot which posts Indonesian celebrity gossip videos with obscure, often completely unreleased songs written by Gary Miller as background music, sourced from a music database known as VHF Production Music.[2]
The song first gained attention in the Lostwave community on December 8, 2023, when it was reuploaded to YouTube by user Aero.[3]
Discovery[edit | edit source]
On May 18th, 2024, the song was identified as I Wanna Be Loved By You by Steve Lee after Discord user HyWhisper contacted Steve, who confirmed his identity as the singer of this song as well as the other Manis Studio songs Feels Like Heaven and If This Is Love.[4]
