"Quad-Station Anthem" is a mysterious pop song used on four television stations from years ranging 1989 to 1994.
History[edit | edit source]
Pre-Search[edit | edit source]
Sometime in the 1980's, a currently-unknown company produced this song.
In 1989, WTTV started using said song until late 1990.
2 years later, WJPR and WVFT started using the song until 1994.
WTMV and WGNT also used this song in 1994 before affiliate switching to The WB and UPN respectively. That seemed to be the last we'd hear of the Quad-Station Anthem.
In 2020, WTTV briefly played their 1989 station ID on their 70th anniversary news broadcast.
Search[edit | edit source]
On March 4th 2024, VantaBlack, the OP, uploaded a 9 second sample to WatZatSong. The sample was a 1994 WGNT ident using this song but with the vocals removed.
15 days later, the OP posted a sample that is 21 seconds longer, which was from a WJPR/WVFT staff roll from 1992. It cuts off because of the WatZatSong length limit.
