Radio Silence is a solved lostwave by British singer-songwriter Fransisca Hall and was written by Gary Miller. The song originated from a video posted by a YouTube bot account named Manis Studio.
Background[edit | edit source]
On July 5, 2019, the song was first posted by a YouTube channel called Manis Studio,[1] a bot which posts Indonesian celebrity gossip videos with obscure, often completely unreleased songs written by Gary Miller as background music, sourced from a music database known as VHF Production Music.[2]
The song first gained attention in the Lostwave community on August 28, 2023, when it was reuploaded to YouTube by user initech-employee.[3]
Discovery[edit | edit source]
On June 14, 2024, Reddit user PersonOfDistraction discovered a copyright entry for the song "Radio Silence" by Fransisca Balke (who also goes by Fransisca Hall), which was composed by Gary Miller, Greig Watts, Peter Barringer, and Paul Lee Drew. On the same day, writer Greig Watts identified the song as "Radio Silence" after being contacted by Discord user Seven Wonders and confirmed that Fransisca Hall sung it.[4]
