Stranger in the Corner is an unidentified synth-pop song sourced from WatZatSong user NY80sTapes' collection of short radio snippets recorded in the early 1980s.

Background[edit | edit source]

On July 12th, 2023, WatZatSong user NY80sTapes posted the song as a 10-second snippet with no additional information.[1] Based on the OP's other found songs, this song was most likely recorded from a New York or New Jersey radio station between 1980 and 1986,[2] and it may have originally released between 1977 and 1985.[3]

On August 16th, 2023, WatZatSong user MistaEgg pointed out that another snippet posted by NY80sTapes, labelled "Bass & Synth, 1983", sounds very similar to the song, and it is widely assumed that this snippet is part of the song or by the same band.[4]
