On 13 March, 2021, the Youtube user FM120 uploaded a snippet of a mysterious song, found featured in an italodance mix.

FM120 was notorious for making mixes with obscure or even homade tracks and previously uploaded the intro to another mysterious italodance song, [[Your Eyes]].
On March 13th, 2021, the official channel of radio station FM120 uploaded an Italodance megamix titled "The BPM's Birthday Celebration Dance Megamix" in reference to the track's DJ, DJ BPM.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srX6-kDjabM&t</ref> When asked for the song name, the channel responded with "Tore - Hey Tombino",<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srX6-kDjabM&lc=Ugww6E7c6ZmtYiRnDPh4AaABAg</ref> which refers to another completely different lost song uploaded by SandoPlayz16.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6y4uzxHrLs</ref>

After that, multiple snippets of the song have been found throughout the internet. Italodance collector Aigeng, also known for posting Your Eyes, was discovered to have also used a snippet from See U Dancing in their [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7KCuT2UUMg&t=92s&pp=2AFckAIBygUGYWlnZW5n Italodance Megamix Volume 1] and later FM120 uploaded a version titled [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lz5-m3YCRE&lc=UgxK1gz8qFoJ2ZQZeoh4AaABAg.A2jmPbgTHzOA2kMoo_p9PJ GZ-Boy - See You Dancing], however it is debated whether this is the actual artist and title behind the song. The song has been frequently misatributed to Gabry-L, who had a likely fake discogs page for the song Your Eyes.

It has been speculated that the song was created by FM120 or is at least being gatekept by them, as FM120 has been known to give false song names to protect their collection.

See You Dancing is a mysterious Italodance song that first appeared in an Italodance mix in 2021 by YouTube user FM120 Official.

Background[edit | edit source]

On March 9th, 2021, YouTube user Aigeng first uploaded the song to an Italodance megamix.[1]

On March 13th, 2021, the official channel of radio station FM120 uploaded an Italodance megamix titled "The BPM's Birthday Celebration Dance Megamix" in reference to the track's DJ, DJ BPM.[2] When asked for the song name, the channel responded with "Tore - Hey Tombino",[3] which refers to another completely different lost song uploaded by SandoPlayz16.[4]

On April 27th, 2024, FM120 uploaded a version of the song in a music editor titled "GZ-Boy - See You Dancing", but it is unclear whether this is the actual artist and title of the song.[5] This upload implies that they own the original song's stems and thus played a role in its creation or have a direct connection with the original creator. It has been speculated that the song, if not created by them, is intentionally gatekept by FM120 to protect the rarity of their collection.[6]

On April 28th, 2024, Douyin user Gabry369 posted a two and a half-minute video of the song being played, with a never-before-heard ending.[7] However, the Douyin video does not play the entire song; instead, it shows what appears to be the song's length and waveform, and halfway through, "Lullabyte (Ma.Bra. Extended Mix)" is mixed in, exactly where the original snippet ended.[8] When the recording was reuploaded to YouTube, a user named DJ Smailicona took credit for the post, claiming that the full version of the song is 6 to 7 minutes.[9]

On June 10th, 2024, Reddit user Suspicious-Twist1694 discovered that the synthesizer used in the song was the "LD Follow" lead on the Sylenth1 virtual synth, which was created in 2006, implying that the song could not have been created any earlier.[10]

On December 15th, 2024, Discord user mainnex found an extended version of the song from an unknown source.[11]
