Blue Light, a Greek band from the 1980s, has been raised as a potential lead in relation to The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet (TMS) due to claims by the bass player of the band about their potential involvement with the song.
The Authorship Claim[edit | edit source]
Blue Light was active in the Greek post-punk and new wave scene. They released one album in 1988, slightly later than the creation of TMS.
Blue Light was became a significant lead when Aris Avgerinos, the band's bass player claimed that TMS was a collaborative work involving Blue Light, named "Ex-communication". He also suggested involvement from other bands like Villa 21 and The Mushrooms, adding layers to the claim .
Avgerinos provided alleged demo tapes to support his claims. However, these were met with skepticism due to their quality and the lack of a vocal track that matched TMS. Further, his communication was inconsistent, raising doubts about the veracity of his statements.
